Giveaway! Three copies of The Ballymara Road and Hide Her Name by Nadine Dorries to be won!

11 Jun

I’ve got a super giveaway for you today! Publishers Head of Zeus have kindly given me three copies of Nadine Dorries’ new hardback The Ballymara Road and three copies of the paperback edition of Nadine’s previous novel, Hide Her Name.

Nadine Dorries was born and raised on a council estate in Liverpool on the dawn of the Mersey beat. Her family were part of the Irish Catholic community who came to Merseyside on the docks and she spent her childhood summers with her extended family in a small village on the west coast of Ireland. Nadine trained as a nurse in Warrington and Liverpool, went on to run a school in Zambia and later founded her own childcare business. In the 2005 general elections she was elected as the MP for Mid-Bedfordshire, a position she still holds a decade later.

One of Britain’s best known politicians, she is renowned for her passion and determination. When the last of her three daughters left home, Nadine fulfilled a childhood ambition and wrote her debut novel – inspired by the wonderful world she grew up in. The result, The Four Streets (2014), was a bestseller that sold over 300,000 copies in just six months and held the number 1 spot on Amazon for 5 weeks. Hide Her Name, her second novel was also a number one E bestseller and was published in paperback on 4th June. Follow her on twitter @NadineDorriesMP.

On Christmas morning, in the unforgiving harshness of a convent in Galway, Kitty Doherty gives birth to her baby – who is immediately taken away for adoption in America. But Kitty’s life is hanging by a thread; her only hope a dangerous journey through the ice and snow to Ballymara and her Irish family. Meanwhile, in Chicago, Sean and Alice try to set up a new life, far away from the families they have deserted in Liverpool. And in the Four Streets change is afoot, as a new priest arrives and the mystery of Father James’s murder begins to unravel.
